Method 4: Resetting the registry Value.
  1. Type Windows Key + R and type Regedit press Enter.

  2. Locate the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
  3. Right-click on the value named ProgramFilesDir & change the default value C:\Program Files to the path you want to install all your programs in.
  4. Click OK and Exit.
  5. Restart the PC and try to perform the update again.
Disclaimer: If you are not familiar with registry keys or not have technical knowledge then don't modify the registry incorrectly, if you did incorrectly then serious problems might occur in your system. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully.
